PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To store a sagging part of a recording paper due to reverse feeding or the like in a printer so as to prevent paper jamming.SOLUTION: An opening closing cover unit 3 is supported rotatably at an upper end of a front frame 6 of the printer 1. The recording paper 8 inserted into the printer 1 from a paper guide opening 7 formed in a gap between a rear end of the opening closing cover unit 3 at a closing position A and an upper end of a rear frame 5 is conveyed along a conveyance route 15 which passes a printing position C. The recording paper 8 is excited downward by a tension mechanism 10 provided in the opening closing cover unit 3 upstream of the printing position C. A tension position is near to a device bottom surface from the paper guide opening 7, and a conveyance route portion 15A on the upstream side from the tension position slopes up and down. A paper accumulation space 18 of an approximately triangular cross section defined by a paper guide member 17 and the rear frame 5 is secured below the slope-shape conveyance route portion 15A. |
