The dishwasher has a pump (30) i.e. circulating pump, for conveying flushing liquid, and an impeller (38) arranged in a pumping chamber (36) of a pump casing (34). The impeller is connected with an immersion-type rotary water meter rotor (48) arranged in a wet chamber (50), and a stator (52) arranged outside of the wet chamber drives the rotor. The wet chamber is filled with wet chamber liquid e.g. water soluble liquid, that deviates from the flushing liquid, where the wet chamber liquid exhibits small dynamic viscosity than water and/or the flushing liquid. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a household dishwasher.
