PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LED lighting device that makes a switching element to be off with a simple measure when an increasing current flowing in an inductor reaches a predetermined value.SOLUTION: The LED lighting device includes a direct current source DC, a switching element Q1, a constant current measure CCM, an inductor L1, a diode D1, and a drive winding DW of the switching element magnetically coupled to the inductor, and includes a chopper CH including a first circuit A in which a current flows from the direct current source to the inductor through the constant current measure when ON of the switching element, a second circuit B in which the current flows from the inductor to the diode when OFF of the switching element, as well as a drive circuit of the switching element including the control terminal of the switching element, the constant current measure, and the drive winding, and a load circuit LC connected to the output end of the chopper, in which a parallel circuit of a light emitting diode LED and an output capacitor C3 are equipped. |
