PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for measuring the shape of a tire which enable accurate measurement of the thickness in one round of the tire in a short time.SOLUTION: The method for measuring the shape of the tire includes an external and internal shapes measuring process wherein external shape data and internal shape data on the tire are detected from image data on the external and inner surfaces of the tire, an external and inner surface primary components extracting process wherein Fourier transform of the unevenness of one round along the circumference of the tire in the external and internal shape data is performed to take out the respective primary waveform components, a circumferential position adjusting process wherein the positions in the circumference of the tire of both of the waveform components are made to agree with each other to adjust their positions in the circumference of the tire, a cross section position adjusting process wherein the cross section positions in the radial direction of the tire of the external shape data and the internal shape data are adjusted, based on disposition angles and information on positions of first and second cameras, and a shape data composing process wherein the external shape data and the internal shape data are composed, based on the positions in the circumference of the tire and the cross section positions in the radial direction of the tire being adjusted. |
