摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily correct variance in a viewing angle and to eliminate abnormal display, caused when a load is placed on a display surface, substantially once the load is removed.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device includes: a first capacitance electrode 17 which forms first compensation capacitance Cs1 with a first pixel electrode 5a; a second capacitance electrode 18a which forms second compensation capacitance Cs2 with a second pixel electrode 5b; a third capacitance electrode 18b which forms third compensation capacitance Cs3 with a second pixel electrode 5b; and an auxiliary electrode 19 disposed in a region between a first pixel electrode 5a of one pixel of adjacent pixels and a second pixel electrode 5b of the other pixel opposed to a common electrode, wherein the first voltage which is equal to a voltage applied to the common electrode is applied to the first capacitance electrode 17 and second capacitance electrode 18a, a second voltage which is different from the first voltage is applied to the third capacitance electrode 18b, and an auxiliary voltage whose potential difference from the common electrode is larger than a maximum value of a voltage applied between the first pixel electrode 5a and the second pixel electrode 5b, and common electrode is applied to the auxiliary electrode 19.
