PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin film transistor effectively used in a relatively area-increased display device.SOLUTION: In the thin film transistor, the display device equipped with the same, and methods of manufacturing them, the thin film transistor includes an active layer formed on a substrate, a gate insulating film pattern formed on a partial region of the active layer, a gate electrode formed on a partial region of the gate insulating film pattern, an etching prevention film pattern covering the gate insulating film pattern and the gate electrode, and source member and drain member formed on the active layer and the etching prevention film pattern.
