PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermally assisted recording medium which has uniform magnetic crystal grains and narrow inverse magnetic field dispersing (SFD), and to provide a magnetic storage device using the same.SOLUTION: A magnetic recording medium comprises a board, a plurality of base layers formed on the board, and a magnetic layer whose main component is an alloy having an L1structure. In this case, at least one of the base layers contains MgO as the main component and at least one metal element having a melting point of 2,000°C or higher. |
