PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent finder optical system which can secure sufficient eye relief while keeping a high observation magnification and has a relatively simple and inexpensive lens configuration.SOLUTION: In the finder optical system including an image inversion means for inverting an image formed by an objective lens to an erect image and an eyepiece for enlarging and displaying the image turned to the erect image by the image inversion means, the eyepiece comprises the first lens group of negative refractive power, the second lens group of positive refractive power and the third lens group of positive or negative refractive power in the order from the side of the image inversion means. The first lens group comprises one meniscus lens whose concave is turned to the side of the image inversion means, the third lens group comprises a convex lens and a meniscus lens whose convex is turned to the side of the image inversion means, and a predetermined conditional expression is satisfied further. |
