PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture high cleanliness steel by efficiently preventing slag from flowing out from a ladle to a tundish when pouring molten steel from the ladle to the tundish.SOLUTION: In the method of producing high cleanliness steel, porous bricks 6 are arranged in a manner surrounding a molten steel outflow hole 8 in the bottom of the ladle 1 and, while an inert gas is blown from the porous bricks into the molten steel 9 in the ladle, the molten steel in the ladle is poured into the tundish through the molten steel outflow hole. In this case, it is desirable to adjust the flow rate of blowing the inert gas in accordance with the quantity of the molten steel in the ladle, so that a relation between the inert gas flow rate G (Nm/sec) blown from the porous bricks into the molten steel and the depth H (m) of the molten steel inside the ladle is within the range of an expression (1): G×H<0.010. |
