PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that a conventional heating instrument using a nichrome wire as a heat source has danger of overheat by failure, the increase of power consumption, and danger of the emission of a harmful electromagnetic wave because of the use form coming into contact with a human body, and also, a heating instrument with a planar PTC as the heat source is easy to generate crack damage at the heat source section or the energizing sections by frequent bending or bending at an extremely acute angle.SOLUTION: A PTC planar heating element which has the peak wavelength between wavelengths of 6 and 10 μm is made into the heat source. A PET material is closely joined to one surface of the heat source as a reinforcing material. A sponge-like resin material is arranged on the outside of the PET material as a cushioning material. Then, the external sides of those are covered with a natural fiber textile which has been treated by a water-repellent process for this PTC planar heating instrument. Alternatively, one or a plurality of sheets of limestone type slates are fixed to one surface of the heat source by a fixture, and a heat-insulating material is placed on the other surface on the opposite side. Then, the periphery of the whole is fixed by a wood material. At the same time, a bottom plate plywood is attached to the outside of the heat-insulating material for the heating instrument. |
