<p>A method for enhancing an acquired digital image, comprising using a processor to generate saliency data representing regions of interest in the image, selecting a plurality of tile mask positions within an output image, and generating output image data at respective ones of the tile mask positions by: using the saliency data at corresponding ones of those positions within the acquired digital image to generate respective blending parameters for each position, and at a given tile mask position, using the corresponding blending parameters to modify pixels in the output image within an area defined by a tile mask by combining the pixels in the output image with those from one or more other images.</p> |
