PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power storage system capable of efficiently converting a direct current from a solar battery or from a storage battery into an alternating current.SOLUTION: The power storage system includes: a solar battery; a solar battery DC/AC converting part that converts the DC power generated by the solar battery to the AC power of predetermined frequency to supply the power to an indoor AC wire connected with a load; a storage battery; a charger that charges the storage battery using either the DC power supplied to this storage battery or the DC power rectified from the AC power gained via an indoor AC wiring; and a storage battery DC/AC converting part that converts the DC power charged in the storage battery to the AC power to supply the AC power to the indoor AC wiring. The solar battery DC/AC converter controls maximum power point tracking (MPPT) so that the power generation of the solar battery becomes nearly the maximum. The storage battery DC/AC converter is configured so that the power supplied to the load via the indoor AC wiring does not drop below a preset value or the amount converted to the AC power is controlled. |
