PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of preventing generation of unnecessary X rays without changing a size and weight of an X-ray tube.SOLUTION: The x-ray generating apparatus controls drive of the X-ray tube. The X-ray tube includes an electron source for emitting electrons by applying voltage, a transmitting target for generating X-rays by collision of electrons emitted from the electron source, a shielding member arranged between the electron source and the transmission target and preparing an opening where electrons emitted from the electron source pass through and shielding X rays scattered toward an electron source side. Here, application of voltage to the transmission target starts at the time of generating X rays, and the electrons are emitted from the electron source after passing a designated period showing a time for making the transmission target reach designated voltage from starting of application of the voltage. Concerning stoppage of generation of the X rays, application of voltage onto the transmission target is stopped after stopping discharge of the electrons from the electron source. |
