PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device (a straightener) for straightening any bend or twist of a welding wire drawn out of a wire reel or a pack, wherein the device is capable of consistently and excellently straightening any bending habit of the welding wire in each direction, preventing generation of any bend remaining in the wire drawn out of a coil or a wire run-out attributable to the twist, and preventing degradation of the welding quality.SOLUTION: The straightener has three or more straightening units having four or more rolls arranged in a staggered manner on the same plane to be the roll arrangement plane, and arranged so as to impart the bend in the opposing direction alternately to the welding wire passing through a space between the rolls adjacent to both sides. The three or more units are arranged in series in the wire feeding direction, and the bend of the welding wire is straightened by successively passing the welding wire through the three or more units. |
