PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus which can appropriately specify a region with the occurrence of a red-eye phenomenon, and an image processing program.SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus specifying a red-eye pixel from a red-eye candidate region including red eyes with the occurrence of the red-eye phenomenon in a color image includes a separation curve generating means for dividing a pixel group of the red-eye candidate region into predetermined sections based on a red value, generating a histogram indicating the number of pixels corresponding to a red degree value for each section, and generating a separation curve having the red degree value based on the shape of the histogram and separating the red-eye pixels from non-red-eye pixels, and a red-eye pixel specifying means for specifying the pixel as the red-eye pixel when the red degree value of the pixel is larger than the red degree value corresponding to the red value of the pixel in the separation curve on each pixel in the red-eye candidate region. |
