PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent or cancel icing of a throttle valve without causing excess cost increases.SOLUTION: In this throttle body 2A for an engine, the throttle valve 3 supported by a throttle valve shaft 30 is disposed in an intake passage 2 passing through a body 1 to be opened and closed. A shaft hole 20 for inserting the throttle valve 30 passes through an outer peripheral surface on an opposite side from the predetermined position of the outer peripheral surface of the body 1. A plug-shaped electric heater 31 is inserted from the outside into the tip end portion of the shaft hole 20, and disposed close to the tip end of the throttle valve shaft 30 with the heating portion of the electric heater inserted therein. The temperature of the throttle valve is raised from its tip end side by energizing the electric heater 31, and the temperature is raised to the side of the periphery of the throttle valve 3 by heat conduction, preventing or cancellig the icing caused by fixation of ice to the throttle valve 3. |
