PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus wherein noise is canceled with high accuracy by reducing noise included in sound received by a microphone.SOLUTION: Recording means of a sound processing part records noise Ngenerated by performing a first pulse sequence PS. Noise reducing means of the sound processing part generates noise N' in an opposite phase of the recorded noise Nsynchronizing with the second and following sequences, and adds the noise N' in an opposite phase to the noise transmitted to the sound processing part. Accordingly, the noise inputted into a microphone can be reduced and an operator can clearly listen to sound V of a subject.
