PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To notify power consumption required for executing set processing beforehand regardless of contents of the processing.SOLUTION: When performing processing such as copy processing, scan processing and FAX processing in an image forming apparatus in which power saving is partially performed by supplying power only to required functional parts, a document is read first (102-106) and a user performs various settings, so that power consumption is estimated and displayed while considering the number of recording sheets to be ejected in accordance with settings (108-114). Furthermore, each time the settings are changed, the power consumption is estimated and displayed (114-118). |
