<p>A security post is provided comprising an outer tube (10), an inner tube (12), and a central core (11), there being a spacing between the outer tube and the inner tube and a spacing between the inner tube and the central core. In one embodiment the core comprises a solid post and the inner tube and core are a loose fit within the outer tube. The security post may comprise a security device, for example a bollard, and using the construction of the invention provides a bollard having the necessary strength and resistance to halt or deflect a vehicle, without necessarily applying a sever reactive force to the vehicle, which force might cause severe injury to occupants of the vehicle.</p> |
