Provided is a vibration insulator for fuel injection which can maintain the function of automatically compensating for axial eccentricity occurring in a fuel injection valve as well as the function of suppressing vibrations of the fuel injection valve, even during operation of an internal combustion engine. Also provided is a support structure for the fuel injection valve. The vibration insulator (30) is interposed between a step height portion (first tapered face (24)) of the fuel injection valve (11) and a shoulder portion (18) to suppress vibrations occurring in the fuel injection valve (11). The step height portion is increased in diameter in a tapered fashion and inserted into an insertion hole (15) of a cylinder head (12) to be placed therein. The shoulder portion (18) is annularly extended in an inlet portion (17) of the insertion hole (15) so as to be opposed to the step height portion. The vibration insulator (30) includes an annular tolerance ring (33) which is provided on an inner circumferential inclined face (42) thereof with recessed tapered faces (second tapered faces (45, 46)) opposed to the tapered face (24) of the step height portion and which abuts against the tapered face (24). The taper angles of the tapered faces of the tolerance ring (33) are so set as to be different from the taper angle of the tapered face (24) of the step height portion.
