PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a caster storage mechanism for an image forming apparatus, the mechanism storing the casters of the image forming apparatus into an apparatus body by a simple operation.SOLUTION: In the cater storage mechanism for the image forming apparatus, a caster storage mechanism part includes cater holding means supported by the apparatus body and holding the casters moved from their respective storage positions to use positions and restricting their movement to the storage positions; and caster hold releasing means for releasing, based on the lifting movement of the apparatus body, the casters from being held by the caster holding means. After the caster hold releasing means releases the casters from being held by the cater holding means, the casters are moved relative to the apparatus body from the use positions to the storage positions based on the installation movement of the lifted apparatus body, thus stored in the apparatus body. |
