PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that in a COremoval apparatus in which the amine absorption liquid is used as a COabsorber, washing water cooled by a cooler 17 and condensed water which is produced by cooling COgas with a cooler 38 and is separated by a COseparator 40 are sprayed respectively on an absorption tower 11 and on an outlet of a regeneration tower 31 in order to reduce gasification loss of an amine absorption liquid and, therein, a large amount of cooling water is required on the coolers 17, 38 to result in an extreme increase of operation cost of the cooling in both coolers.SOLUTION: In a method for treating the exhaust gas, carbon dioxide (CO) in exhaust gas is brought into contact with the amine absorption liquid in a COabsorption tower to remove CO, and thereafter, the obtained treated liquid is heated in the regeneration tower to eliminate COand recover the amine absorption liquid, wherein the washing water at the upper part of the absorption tower 11 or treated gas at the regeneration tower 31 outlet is cooled by using the treated gas at the absorption tower 11 outlet. |
