PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weather strip formed by connecting extrusion-molded parts by a molding part to improve a sealing property and appearance quality, and a method for manufacturing the weather strip allowing a core mold to be drawn out within a formation range of the molding part in manufacturing the weather strip.SOLUTION: The weather strip 5 is made up of the extrusion-molded parts 6 formed by extrusion-molding, and the molding part 7 connecting both ends thereof in a linear manner. The weather strip 5 includes a trim part 11 mounted along a circumferential edge of a door opening and a hollow sealing part 15 projecting from the trim part 11. A connection width W1 of the molding part 7 is set to be 2.0 mm. A coring hole 44 for drawing out a core mold for molding an inner circumferential surface after molding is formed in the hollow sealing part 15. The coring hole 44 is formed such that its length in the circumferential direction of the inner circumferential surface of the hollow sealing part 15 is 40% of the circumferential length of the inner circumferential surface.
