PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving method for a touch panel, not affected by noise while enhancing sensitivity as compared to an output voltage accompanying an actual change of capacitance.SOLUTION: The driving device for the touch panel includes: a sampling part comparing a value of the voltage accompanying the change of the input capacitance and a previously stored value, storing the voltage value accompanying the change of the capacitance into a minimum value storage part or a maximum value storage part according to a comparison result thereof, and performing weighting averaging processing to the stored value of the voltage by use of a value applied with weighting and stored in an average value storage part; a maximum/minimum subtraction part applying and amplifying a first gain value to a minimum average value or a maximum average value from the average value storage part, and applying a second gain value to a difference between the amplified maximum average value and minimum average value; an analog/digital conversion part making an output value from the maximum/minimum subtraction part be converted into a digital value; and a part recognizing a touch onto the touch panel based on an output value from the analog/digital conversion part, and performing gain control of the maximum/minimum subtraction part. |
