PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improvement of a piston accumulation forming characteristic of a lubricating composition and to provide an alternative lubricating composition.SOLUTION: The lubricating composition contains a base oil selected from the group consisting of a Fischer-Tropsch-derived base oil and a poly-alpha olefin (PAO) base oil or a combination thereof, has a TBN (total base number) value of 3.5 to 70 mg KOH/g as determined according to ASTM D 2896, and has a soap content of 15 to 30 mM. |
