PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a precision printing product with high film thickness uniformity and reproducibility by inhibiting the inflow of ink into the projecting part side surface of a letterpress plate, when feeding the supplied ink on the surface of a solid roll, to the surface of the letterpress plate by a slit coater.SOLUTION: An ink repellent layer 27 formed of an ink repellent material with repellency to a coating ink liquid, is formed on the recessed part 26a and the skirts part 26b of the letterpress plate 23. Next, a repellent-treating letterpress plate 14 with the ink repellent layer 27 is used as a letterpress plate, and the coating ink liquid is supplied to the surface of the solid roll 8 with the help of the slit coater 9. After that, the coating ink liquid is supplied to the repellent-treating letterpress plate 14, using the solid roll 8. The coating ink liquid supplied to the top surface 24 of the projecting part 22 of the repellent-treating letterpress plate 14, is repelled by the ink repellent layer 27. Thus, the inflow of the coating ink liquid into the recessed part 26a and the skirts part 26b, can be avoided. As a result, the precision printing product with high film thickness uniformity can be manufactured with satisfactory reproducibility. |
