PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of edging a slab, by which occurrence of flaws occurring by falling-in of projecting parts is suppressed and the slabs having fine quality can be manufactured.SOLUTION: In the method of edging the slab 10 over the longitudinal direction of the slab 10 by making the slab 10 on which an oblique side part 17 the width of which is reduced from a wide parallel part 16 to the side of an end part and a parallel part 18 which is connected to the side of the end part of the oblique side part 17 successively in a plane view are formed by pressing the end part in the longitudinal direction with dies reciprocate between vertical rolls 19, 20 which are oppositely arranged on both sides in the width direction of the slab 10 and horizontal rolls 23, 24 which are oppositely arranged on both sides in the vertical direction, when edging the parallel part 18 and the wide parallel part 16 which is connected to the parallel part 18 and the width of which is reduced by edging, by one pass, the amount of edging to the parallel part 18 of the slab 10 is controlled to 2-10% of the width W of the parallel part 18. |
