<p>The conveyor has a feed pump (5) operated in a first operation region in which feed rate of feed pump is little higher than sum of fuel amount sucked by a high pressure pump (1) and required for lubrication. The feed pump is operated in a second operating region in which feed rate of the feed pump is higher than in the first operating region. Fuel amount flowing in the second region by a discharge connection (58) is so high that a large pressure increase is effected in a connection between the feed pump and a fuel measuring device than in the first operating region.</p>
