Disclosed is a hydroisomerization catalyst used for hydroisomerizing hydrocarbon. Specifically, disclosed is a hydroisomerization catalyst containing: a carrier comprising a fired zeolite which is modified by at least one metal selected from among Na, K, Cs, Mg, Ca, Ba, and K, and which has a thermal history including heating at 350°C or more, and at least one inorganic oxide selected from among alumina, silica, titania, boria, zirconia, magnesia, ceria, zinc oxide, phosphorus oxide, and a complex oxide formed by combining at least two oxides therefrom; and at least one metal which is supported by the aforementioned carrier and which is selected from among molybdenum, tungsten, and elements belonging to groups 8 to 10 in the periodical table. The aforementioned zeolite is prepared from an ion-exchange zeolite obtained by exchanging the ions between an organic template-containing zeolite, which contains an organic template and has a 10-membered ring one-dimensional pore structure, and a solution containing ammonium ion and/or a proton. Moreover, the thermal history to which the aforementioned zeolite is subjected is characterized in that the first heating during the heating at 350°C or more is within the range of 350°C to 450°C. |
