PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten an analysis time of a performance failure by detecting various performance failures in a computer system.SOLUTION: A failure detection system includes: a program behavior detection part which detects that a target program to be monitored which operates on the computer system has executed a target behavior to be monitored; a performance information collection part which collects performance information indicating performance relating to the target program at timing when it is detected that the target program has executed the target behavior; a performance pattern output part which makes the target behavior executed by the target program and the performance information relating to the target program associated with each other to generate a performance pattern resulting from the patterning of them; and a performance failure detection part which detects a performance failure by collating the performance pattern with a performance pattern for normality.
