PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium primary battery using graphite fluoride excellent in pulse discharge characteristics under low-temperature environment as a cathode.SOLUTION: The lithium primary battery includes: an anode 1 containing lithium or a lithium alloy as an anode active material; a cathode 2 containing graphite fluoride as a cathode active material, a carbon material and a binder; and nonaqueous electrolyte. The carbon material consists of: a carbon material as a conductive agent covered with the binder; and a carbon material without being covered with the same or a different kind of binder as or from the conductive agent.
