PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an atmospheric air opening operation by utilizing the function originally possessed by a head unit, and thereby to reduce the number of parts and simplify an apparatus.SOLUTION: A pin 8 is usually located above a carriage 5. The carriage 5 reciprocates along a support shaft 6 at a position where a head 3 separates just by a gap at the time of printing to a paper. When the atmospheric air opening operation is necessary, the carriage 5 is raised and an operating part 7a of an atmospheric air opening mechanism 7 is pushed up to a position opposed to the pin 8, namely, a position where the head 3 separates by a predetermined gap to the paper. Then, the carriage 5 is moved in the pin 8 direction by a carriage scanning mechanism. The operating part 7a of the atmospheric air opening mechanism 7 is pressed by the pin 8, and a sub tank 4 is opened to the atmospheric air. |
