PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device which prevents a stick-slip where a distance bracket slides on a surface of an adjusting bracket by an assist reaction force, and prevents the occurrence of an interference sound of the distance bracket and the adjusting bracket.SOLUTION: Recessed portions 25, 26 are formed on outer surfaces 21a, 22a of a left plate 21 and a right plate 22 of a distance bracket 20 arranged on an inner side of an adjusting bracket 10 to surround bolt through holes 23, 24. The axial force of a tilt bolt 30 is generated by operating a tilt lever 60 in a clamping direction, so that the distance bracket 20 is clamped to the adjusting bracket 10. Inner surfaces 11a, 12a of right and left plates 11, 12 of the adjusting bracket 10 opposite to the recessed portions 25, 26 are loosened and entered in the recessed portions 25, 26 to strength the holding force. |
