PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid jetting apparatus which uses a linear member for an absorbing member for receiving fluid and can efficiently execute flushing operation when moving the absorbing member.SOLUTION: A printer includes a recording head 21 with a plurality of nozzles 24 for jetting inks, and executes the flushing operation of supplementally jetting the inks from the nozzles 24 toward the absorbing member 12. The absorbing member 12 is a linear member with a predetermined length. The printer adopts a constitution which has pulleys 43 and 53 which stretch the absorbing member 12 in a Y-axis direction orthogonal to jetting routes of the inks jetted from the nozzles 24 and freely movably support the absorbing member 12 in its length direction, a traveling mechanism 13 which makes the supported absorbing member 12 travel in the length direction, and a cleaning liquid supply device 80 which supplies a cleaning liquid to the absorbing member 12 to absorb the liquid at a predetermined position of a running route where the absorbing member 12 travels. |
