METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A PAIR OF PANTS, EACH LEG OF WHICH IS PROVIDED WITH A BUILT-IN KNEE PAD

The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a pair of pants, each leg of which, having a longitudinal direction, stops under the knee and is provided with a knee pad (7) that is built into said pants. Said method in particular includes steps of pre-assembling and assembling first flexible panels (9, 10) for forming the pants. Characteristically, said method also comprises the following steps: c. flatly pre-assembling second resilient panels and optionally a third panel that is less resilient than the second panels and is intended for covering the popliteal fossa area, said second and optionally said third panels being intended to form the knee pad (7); d. flatly assembling, in a first transverse attachment line, the upper edge of the pre-assembled knee pad (7) onto the back surface of at least one longitudinal panel (9, 10) for forming a pants leg at a distance (H) from the lower edge (9c, 10c) of said first panel (9, 10) and greater than the height (h) of the knee pad (7) from a distance (D). The second resilient panels of the pre-assembled knee pad (7) are placed such that the maximum resilience thereof is in the transverse direction of the pants leg.
