The cross beam (12) has an air-permeable surface segment and a structure reinforcing mold. The surface segment is formed for the load-path-transferring connection of two longitudinal carriers (14,16) of a vehicle body. The longitudinal carriers are arranged at a distance from each other in vehicle transverse direction. An independent claim is also included for a bumper arrangement for a motor vehicle.
