The device (12) has a light guide (14) that is provided for delivery of light. The device is suitable for delivery of light in a color and/or intensity with an opened vehicle door. The device radiates light of another color and/or intensity with a closed vehicle door. The former color has red color impression and/or high intensity. The latter color has white color impression and/or low intensity. An independent claim is also included for a covering unit of an inner side of a door of a motor vehicle.
