Fire protection with fuel cell exhaust air

Fire protection system comprises a fuel cell (1) for producing nitrogen-enriched cathode outgoing air and a line (16) for feeding the outgoing air into a space (25) so that the nitrogen in the chamber is reduced and the fire risk in the space is reduced. Preferred Features: A regulating and control unit (23) adjusts the oxygen content within the space. A measuring unit (6, 10, 22) measures the oxygen content, the temperature, the pressure and the accumulation of smoke in the space.
