PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three-dimensional map display device displaying a three-dimensional image at high speed.SOLUTION: The three-dimensional map display device is equipped with: a three-dimensional map database storing three-dimensional map data corresponding to each of the regions on a map divided into a plurality of areas; a display area extraction means extracting, from the three-dimensional map database, three-dimensional map data of a desired area; and an image display means displaying a three-dimensional map on a monitor screen by using the three-dimensional map data extracted by the display area extraction means. The three-dimensional map data is map display data corresponding to each of a plurality of areas set along a road on the map. The display area extraction means selects, from among the plurality of areas, the area where an arc passes such that its radius around the position of the visual point of the three-dimensional image displayed on the monitor screen is predetermined specified distance, and its angle range is a prescribed angle range in the traveling direction. |
