<p>The method involves supplying electric current of an alternating current (AC) generator (4) to a direct current (DC) intermediate circuit by an inverter (16) i.e. pulse inverter, and measuring current of a stator of the generator by a stator current sensor. Voltage of the stator is determined by a stator voltage sensor, and a control device is connected with the rectifier, the current sensor and the voltage sensor. A flow vector and speed of the generator are determined from the current and the voltage based on model calculation of operating characteristics of the generator. An independent claim is also included for a combustion engine-electric-drive comprising an inverter for supplying electric current of an AC generator to a DC intermediate circuit.</p> |
