PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery excellent in safety by solving a problem where, when a general metal such as iron, nickel, copper or zinc is mixed in a nonaqueous electrolyte battery as a foreign substance and the foreign substance contacts a positive electrode, the metal is dissolved and becomes metal ions by the potential of the positive electrode; and, when the metal ions are diffused and reach the surface of a negative electrode, the metal ions are immediately reduced by the negative electrode and a deposition is produced on the negative electrode; and, when the deposition grows and reaches a surface of the positive electrode, a conduction path is formed and a minute short circuit may occur. SOLUTION: In this manufacturing method of this nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery having the positive electrode, the negative electrode and an electrolyte, the electrolyte is injected into the battery and thereafter initial charge and discharge are executed by an alternating current.
