700,958. Switches held set and freed mechanically. SOC. DES PILES WONDER. Dec. 27, 1951 [Dec. 30, 1950], No. 30232/51. Class 38(5) [Also in Group XI] A two-way switch controlling the lighting of one or the other of two lamp bulbs mounted one at each end of a torch casing (see Group XI), comprises two pairs of fixed contacts 17, 18 connected in the circuits of the respective bulbs, and two resilient contact blades 6 which are fixed at one end by rivets 21 and bowed and cranked towards their other end so that they lie in the path of a movable member 15 which is secured to the underside of a thumb-piece 23 slidably mounted upon a cover 28. In its movement to the left or right from a central " off " position the movable member 15 depresses the relative contact blade 6 so that it forms a connecting bridge between the contacts of the pair 17 or 18. A plate 16 forms a guide for the movable member 15. |
