<p>The device has a needle (12) with a body having external diameter that is smaller at an end (15) than at another end (14), where the needle has a retainer (16) in an area of the latter end for coaxial retaining of ends of a cable (30). Centering jaws (13) fix the needle in the area of the latter end and form an opening (17) in closed condition, where the opening serves as an access to the retainer. An inserting part (11) inserts an elastic cable element (20) into the needle from the former end toward the latter end, and a clamping element (10) holds the needle in an area of the former end. An independent claim is also included for a method for assembling an elastic cable element in a cable.</p> |
