<p>The system (SDTS) has a first determination unit (DET1) i.e. inertial unit, for determining a roll (Roll2) of an aircraft. A second determination unit (DET2) determines a reference roll curve envelope (CRollRef) representing wake turbulences created by another aircraft. A comparison unit (COMP) compares the roll of the former aircraft and the envelope on a sliding window. An alarm unit (AL) warns a pilot of the former aircraft about the detection of wake turbulences of the latter aircraft when the comparison result is less than a resemblance threshold (SS). The determination unit includes inputs with operating parameters that is selected among speed of one of two aircrafts, mass of the aircraft, wing span of the aircraft, flight phase of the aircraft and type of the aircraft. The reference roll curve envelope is selected among P2P type envelope, APA type envelope or WAKE4D type envelope. An independent claim is also included for a process for detecting wake turbulences of an aircraft.</p> |
