The method involves positioning and directing a setting clamp (50) on a skirt (11) of a nut type element (10), so as to place two jaws (52, 53) of the clamp on two zones (12, 13) of the skirt next to grooves (22, 23) of a piece (20) after tightening the nut type element on the piece. The clamp is closed to realize matt patch of two zones of the skirt to fold the skirt in the corresponding grooves of the piece and lock the nut type element on the piece. An end part of the piece is crested by the skirt and provided with the grooves diametrically opposed to each other on its peripheral surface. Independent claims are also included for following: (1) a locking tool for locking in rotation a nut type element on a piece (2) a device for locking in rotation of the nut type element screwed on a part, comprising a skirt.
