The invention relates to an electric motor with flexible rotor and axial air gap, capable to develop relatively high torque at low speed, up to a few rpm, provided that it is supplied at industrial frequencies and does not use mechanical reducing gears. According to the invention, the motor comprises a flexible ferromagnetic disc (1) fixed on a shaft (2) by means of a hub (3), the shaft (2) resting on two slide bearings (4 and 5), each placed on a bearing plate (6 and 7), the resulting rotor being under the action of a rotating magnetic field produced by an annular stator made of a magnetic core (8) in the slots of which a multi-phase winding (9) is placed. The motor construction also comprises a running system consisting of two distinct elements: a support ring (10) made of a rigid material integral with the stator and a ring (11) integral with the ferromagnetic disc (1). |
