<p>A multi-use injection device for multiple delivery of a fluid drug is disclosed. The device uses a disposable, prefilled, flexible bladder reservoir (70) filled with the fluid drug that is punctured by a re-usable, non-removable needle (72) on activation by an actuator (80). The device has a reusable housing (52) with an upper end (54) and a lower end (56), the upper end (54) being associated with the actuator (80) having a plunger (86). A reservoir chamber (62) is formed by the upper end (54) of the housing (52) and the lower end of the actuator which is used to contain the bladder reservoir (70). The needle (72) is mounted so as to be transverse to the base (64) of the reservoir chamber (62) and has an upper top end and a lower tip. When pressure is applied to the actuator (80), the bladder reservoir (70) is moved down within the reservoir chamber (62) and punctured by the top end of the needle (72), releasing the contents into the needle (72).</p> |
