Treatment of bananas and pineapples with an antifungal composition comprising a polyene antifungal agent and a phosphite containing compound

A process for the treatment or prevention of crown rot resulting from harvesting of fruits selected from bananas and pineapples. The treatment comprises applying a composition comprising a polyene antifungal and at least one phosphite containing compound to the fruit. In particular the polyene is natamycin and the wound is a result of removing the fruit from the tree.
