A telecommunications jack for use in a twisted pair system comprised of a housing with a port for receiving a plug, contact springs (CS1-CS8) for making electrical contact with the plug, wire termination contacts, a circuit board and a crosstalk compensation arrangement. The crosstalk compensation arrangement includes a first compensation zone (ZA1) positioned a first time delay away from a source of crosstalk at the plug, a second compensation zone (ZA2) positioned a second time delay away from the first compensation zone (ZA1) and a third compensation zone (ZA3) positioned a third time delay away from the second compensation zone (ZA2). The first and third time delays are generally equal while the second time delay is different from the first and third time delays. |
