A lamp is provided with terminal pins 48, 50, 52, 54 mounted on and extending outwardly along a longitudinal axis of an end cap 44 of the lamp. The pins are offset relative to one another along the longitudinal axis. The end cap 44 has semi-circular, parallel surfaces 72, 74 at one end, and the pins extend outwardly from the respective semi-circular, parallel surfaces. A barrier wall 70a, 70b extends substantially perpendicularly between the semi-circular surfaces. In a first embodiment, a male extension member 75 extends outwardly from the barrier wall along at least a portion of the lower semi-circular surface. This male extension is coextensive with the upper semi-circular surface. Alternatively, in a second embodiment, a female recess is provided through the boundary wall. This recess again extends between the upper and lower semi-circular surfaces. |
